A lot of guys love their cars. My brother, for example, loves to find old cars and restore them. For him, it is all about the car. For me, it is all about driving. My fondest memories as a teenager revolve around driving. I remember learning to drive my father's old 1955 Dodge Crusader in a field. Later, once I had my driver's license, it was all about driving my brother's car around town and out on the highway. The specifics of the car were less important than the driving experience. Driving was therapeutic. I don't claim any great mechanical skills. I appreciate cars at more of a design or esthetic level.
Hopefully this will explain why my discussion about cars often focus on the driving experience, not the nuts and bolts, or mechanics, of the car. That said, I will do my best to provide those with more of a mechanical inclination enough details to appreciate why I think it is a great car.
